Providence Geeks – December 17, 2008

Join us next week for the last Providence Geeks Dinner of 2008.

Almost 3 years ago now, when Providence-based start-up Tizra was only a few weeks old, they presented at one of the very first Geek Dinners. Next week they will be returning to show just how far they’ve come. Tizra COO Abe Dane and other team members will give an overview and demo of Tizra Publisher – a web-based software service that lets content owners create branded commerce websites from existing content. Tizra Publisher is successfully serving a host of clients now including MIT Press.

But wait! There’s more – thanks to the efforts of a number of our community’s big-hearted Geeks, next week’s Geek Dinner will feature a “Geeks for Good” canned food drive to benefit the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. So please bring whatever feels right to the Geek Dinner – 1 can or 100 – and we promise to find good homes for them. Learn more here.
