  • The arguments being made against infrastructure spending are indeed completely ridiculous, but I do have to say that the quote from the Michigan woman echoed an important point that’s been brought up in Rhode Island recently. There’s money being dumped into a myriad of huge, expensive infrastructure projects that are either poorly planned or simply outdated in concept, which take money away from well planned projects. If there weren’t a shovel ready superhighway planned through the desert in Utah, perhaps Providence would have $40 million to build its streetcars instead of $20 million.
