Greater City Providence

New stuff to read

Just when I had convinced myself that Ian Donnis’ blog on WRNI was some sort of urban legend, I stumble upon it.

Ian and Scott McKay’s On Politics blog is still a work in progress (no commenting function yet), but you can read it here. Just in time too, with the mayor’s not-so-surprising decision not to run for Governor, RI GOP conventioneering, and everyone getting in a tizzy over stimulus funds; Ian’s take on the state has been missed.

I stumbled upon Ian’s new blog after stumbling upon another (new to me) blog, providence means destiny.

Providence Means Destiny is an electronic journal with occasional reporting on the city of Providence, Rhode Island. It is maintained by Matt Sledge, of Indianapolis by birth.

Matt has a feed to us over in his sidebar, which is how I found my way over there. Besides his blog, Matt has some great Providence photos over on Flickr.
