Federal transportation system revealed to be giant Madoffian Ponzi Scheme

Today, in a rather tongue in cheek, April-Fools-y-ish, but actually rather spot on post, Project for Public Spaces reveals that the US Transportation System is a giant Ponzi Scheme.

My favorite quote is actually from one of the photo captions:

The transportation investments, meant to help get people to places they want to be, have created places where no one wants to be.

I’m reminded of my favorite Obama quote from back in February:

The days where we’re just building sprawl forever, those days are over.
