I can't stand how they park at the Hot Club. Everyday when I go walking, I walk around them and it just blows my mind how most RI'ers behave. People do live in that area. What if someone was wheelchair bound? Where is parking control for this??

On Providence River charts, there is an area marked down by Fields Point as future fill. Does anyone know if that is where 195 dirt is going?

They're also piling up lots of excavated material on the closed part of the roadway. I'm wondering why the extra dirt isn't going right to its final destination, or is this Rhode Island 'makework' happening right before our eyes?

"Hey, we need to dig this up... Put all the dirt over there"

(one month later)

"Hey we need to disassemble this road, but we put three hundred tons of dirt on it... Lets move the dirt... Over there!"

(a month after that)

"Hey, we just got some more stimulus money... Lets move that dirt again."

(2012...)

"Eyewitness News reports live from the scene of dead mobsters being exhumed from leftover dirt from the construction of the I-Way. An investigation is under way."

Yeah, I thought about the fact that trucks rolled over it for decades. It just seems, now that it is closed, we should let it rest until it comes down.

Agreed, the large dump trucks seem like a bad idea, though, not too long ago, hundreds of 20 ton 18 wheelers where lurching over the same spots.
