Greater City Providence

Kennedy Plaza Placemaking Workshop – May 2, 2009

From Live Downcity:

Urban Minded People- This Saturday Fred Kent, from Project for Public Spaces, is graciously holding a placemaking workshop for the attendees of the National Garden Club convention being held this weekend in Providence. The focus of the placemaking workshop in on Greater Kennedy Plaza.

Fred Kent has opened the workshop to locals that would like to participate with the 170 plus gardeners during the workshop. This would be a great way to harvest, no pun intended, some new ideas for this city square. If you are interested in attending it is taking place from 2pm to 5pm this Saturday, 5/2. For information on Greater Kennedy Plaza, visit KennedyPlaza.org.

Unfortunately I’ll be out of town Saturday. If anyone goes to this workshop, please let us know how it goes.
