  • I’m so glad I don’t live on Atwells Ave anymore. That Parade and Festival becomes a pretty big annoyance after 16 years.

  • I’m interested in how things like kettle corn and cotton candy manage to find their way into every festival on earth, regardless of the occasion.

I’m also annoyed at how some people people (read: Brown) get off on chastising everyone for celebrating a racist holiday, without even considering the ethnic heritage of the people who are celebrating it. Happy Columbus Day!

  • What’s wrong with Kettle Corn? The stuff’s great and any occasion to buy a bag should be celebrated. On a more technical note, the stuff that they sell is actually Caramel Corn, not Kettle Corn. There’s a difference.

  • So the stuff they make in the kettle while they’re selling it isn’t kettle corn? What’s the difference?

  • Caramel Corn is popcorn covered in caramel, sometimes flavored with only a mild saltiness.
Kettle Corn is popcorn that is mixed with granulated sugar and therefore mildly sweet with a more balanced saltiness as opposed to the Caramel kind.
