Why does the city continue to allow abandonment or de-mapping of city streets to private interests? Is it to provide private parking spots for company heads? It isn’t as if Walnut Street is next to a stock exchange or Federal Reserve Bank that might warrant abandonment due to security concerns. Eddy, Fountain, and Westminster are the most prominent but not the only examples of street abandonment in the city. Does anyone know the reason for this application?</description>
