Workers in the Arnold a.k.a. Narrow Building

Workers in the Arnold a.k.a. Narrow Building this afternoon:

Hopefully this is indicative of something good and not something bad.

  • […] The Narrow Building is being renovated thanks in part to funds from The Providence Revolving Fund. AS220′s Mercantile Block is set to wrap up work shortly, with restored retail on the ground floor, artists lofts and studios above, AS220′s print shop, and the Fab Lab. Coastway Bank is planning to move into the old Washington Trust branch (though I haven’t heard much about that lately…). […]

  • I’ve heard that there are signs up at this property describing the new retail coming in? I may have heard incorrectly, but if that is indeed true, that sounds very positive. Anyone have details?

  • I have not seen any signs on the building, but I didn’t look carefully. The owners may well be soliciting proposals for retail tenants.

  • I didn’t realize which post this was. See here. The owners (new owners I believe) were before DRC a couple weeks ago looking to renovate the building. They do not have a final design yet for approval, but needless to say, the DRC was pleased with the idea of an historic renovation.
