Greater City Providence

Come sail away…

Community Boating Center

Ok, so maybe you missed the last wine tasting… Maybe you even missed last weekend’s Boats, Birds, and BBQ event…

But starting June 1st, the Community Boating Center at India Point Park is officially open for business!

Have you ever driven over the Iway bridge and looked out over the water? Did you know that there is actually a park down there and an organization that will teach you how to sail?

This really is a great opportunity and a really fun way to spend a summer (think cheap stay-cation). Once you know how to sail, you can even take friends out sailing on one of CBC’s many new sailboats, or just come unwind with an after-work sail and watch the sun go down.

Community Boating is also a great way to meet people. Maybe you just finished college and you’re looking for a new scene. Maybe you just moved here for a new job and you’re looking for a new activity.

Come sail. If you don’t know how, they’ll teach you. It’s surprisingly affordable.

And don’t worry, there will be another wine tasting in June.
