In addition to presenting the prestigious “BiMPys” (Best Music Poll awards) to this year’s winners, live performances by The Jesse Minute, Route .44, VulGarrity, and Roz Raskin & The Rice Cakes will highlight a night of celebrating the amazing width & breadth of the RI music scene. The awards will be presented by an assortment of local celebrities & music industry people, with assistance from the dazzling Danger Danger Birds. The party will also feature an amazing array of free food provided by Ladder 133, Wings over Providence, and Fellini’s, as well as FREE temporary tattoos by Body Art Airbrush Tatttoo.

Since it began in 1989, the Providence Phoenix’s “BiMPy” has been the most prestigious local music award Rhode Island, with over 15,000 ballots cast in 2010! A special full-color magazine profiling the winners of the 2010 poll will be inserted in the June 11 issue of the Providence Phoenix, while winners for RI, Boston, and Maine will all be posted online at thephoenix.com/BMP.
