Pawtucket Downtown Design Plan

The Pawtucket Downtown Design Plan

A new commitment to reshape Pawtucket. The City of Pawtucket, in partnership with the Pawtucket Foundation, have begun a new project to reshape downtown Pawtucket. The Pawtucket Downtown Design Plan (PDDP) is a design study to help improve traffic patterns, parking, public space, and zoning to enhance the quality of downtown for residents, businesses and visitors. The City’s Planning office invited Thurlow Small Architecture – a Pawtucket business that has worked locally and internationally – to lead the design process over the next year and both of us would like to invite you to participate. This is a great opportunity to look at simple things we can do now and bigger things we can work towards in the future to help the city as it continues to revitalize.

First Public Meeting: June 22

Our first community meeting will be held on June 22 at 6:00 pm in the Blackstone Valley Visitor’s Center at Main Street and Roosevelt Avenue. This meeting will kick-off the project by introducing the design and consultant team, the project process, and ways you, the public, can get involved.
