Mayor-Elect Taveras has a new website up, TransitionProvidence.org. It is early days so it is pretty light on content at the moment, but he is already seeking your feedback.

We’re looking forward to seeing more content on the site soon. In the meantime, feel free to discuss here what you want to see the new mayor get to work on.

  1. Potholes! No, just kidding.

    Serious implementation of complete streets when possible would be a nice start.

  2. Trust me, Angel knows all about potholes. The challenge is getting funding because basically all streets need rebuilding after decades of neglect.

    I’ve heard him speak about a sort of Marshall Plan for infrastructure.

  3. And I’m sure you’d agree that a serious snow removal plan and policy should be enacted, made known, and well enforced.

  4. I love that he took the initiative to clean up the campaign signs around town. That’s a good sign of things to come.
