Greater City Providence

Attempting to walk through the 195 work zone

I’m starting to think this is all just a conspiracy to piss me off. RIDOT, it is a city, we walk, Richmond Street is not actually open if you have not put a sidewalk in yet.

This is a simple fix really, it is a work zone, I know we won’t have granite curbs and such. But how hard would it be to roll out some blacktop on the shoulder so that pedestrians don’t have to choose between mud and middle of the road and so that people in wheelchairs aren’t left with no choice other than middle of the road?

Or, you know, just put a cone on it, that works too.

  • This job is obviously too big for a cone, it demands a barrel. Or, they could just wrap some carbon fiber around it. That would be cool.
