  • The Providence Journal recently had an editorial about this area advocating against any parks in the area and negative on the concept of a bike/pedestrian bridge on the old I-195 piers. Usually the Journal supports such amenities, so I wonder if behind the scenes the big-shots, being entirely auto-centric, are preparing to delete these features. I’d say that is a big mistake. For example, the bike/ped bridge, if done right, can become an iconic symbol for Providence and invigorate the bike/ped culture here. It ears watching.
