Though I remember when Washington went two-way and I was one of the first to go down in the new direction, people were honking and yelling at me saying it was a one-way! Even after weeks of signs noting the route change. haha Oh Providence!
They should probably put up some of those 2-way traffic signs with the arrows pointing up and down. Maybe that’ll help? They won’t need to be permanent, but for the first couple of months, it might be good.
what does that bike sign say? there does not look like there is enough room on either of those roads for bikes.

In the interest of fairness, its difficult to adapt to a change when you’re used to doing something the same way for a long time. I was just walking past the street and the two way traffic seemed disorienting.
