  • Just out of curiosity, a) what is the land being transferred to Brown? Is it the grassy area immediately behind that surface lot? And b) what exactly is meant by “transfer” here?

  • I’m totally speculating, but my guess would be the sliver of a parcel marked “14” on this map between the relocated Peck Street and Brown’s building at 198 Dyer. The relocated Peck and relocated Dyer Streets appear to impact Brown’s property so I’m speculating they intend to trade taking that property for the relocated roadways and giving Brown that small parcel. It doesn’t look like much could be done with it were it not merged to Brown’s existing holding on the site. Rather than paying Brown for the taking, then forcing Brown to pay for the small sliver, they seem to intend to just make a land swap.
