  • Lets hope the design for that holiday inn express isn’t the final design. lets hope the design will be tweaked and refined like the proposed Homewood Suites in the triangle parcel. also does anybody know the status of the proposed Homewood Suites?

  • Over decades it has been used as a fill dump, with pockets of different types of soil underground. The developer is planning to pile six to eight feet of fill on it to pack it down to a buildable thickness.

As all permitting and finances are set, I thought this would happen this summer. Surely by spring 2017.

  • Thanks. Strange location, but probably affordable – like the one going up on Washington Street across from Fire Headquarters.

  • I’ve been a critic of the Homewood Suites because its downtown and should have a high standard, but the Holiday Inn i’m fine with. I’ve stayed in these before and they are normally in much worse locations that require a rental car. This is an easy Uber ride from the train station or airport.

This hotel will be an easy walk to the new One Imperial Place development which is just over the Clifford Street bridge. They are going to have a real image problem since they are located next door to Crossroads and the loitering there is always a problem. Best of luck.
