Police say a 12-year-old boy was taken to the hospital Wednesday after being struck by a hit-and-run driver.
The incident happened just after 6:30 p.m. on Bridgham Street, in the area of Lester Street.
Investigators say the child was riding his bike when he was struck by a vehicle described as a silver or gold Nissan Altima.
Police said the man was rushed to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries after he was struck on Hope Furnace Road in Scituate.
