An 83-year-old woman was struck by a car in Portsmouth Friday.
Authorities said the woman suffered “multiple traumatic injuries” after she was hit by a car on East Main Road just before 6 p.m.
“The patient was conscious at the scene but her injuries are considered life-threatening,” authorities noted in a press release.
The 31-year-old victim was in a crosswalk on Smith Street and Canal Street when he was struck said Providence Police. Inside the stroller was as 6-month old and a two-year-old.
Witnesses told NBC 10 News that a white cab struck a man in his late 30s or early 40s in the crosswalk on Sabin Street, which is adjacent to the Convention Center, around 7 p.m.
A Portsmouth woman was arrested and charged Sunday after an elderly woman was struck by a car and killed in the town.
