According to Maj. Rick Rathbun, Anthony Sudduth was trying to take a left hand turn onto Greenwich Avenue from King Street when he lost control of his vehicle.
Rathbun said the girl was riding a scooter on the sidewalk when she was hit by the SUV. She was transported to the hospital with “serious injuries.”
Sudduth, 47, was arrested on the scene for suspicion of driving under the influence of liquor and/or drugs. He is being charged with one count of driving to endanger resulting in serious bodily injury, and the DUI investigation is ongoing.
