Munroe had just left a nearby supermarket where he worked when he attempted to cross the four-lane Post Road, also known as Route 1. He was hit by a vehicle traveling in the right northbound lane at about 5:20 p.m. Wednesday.
RIDOT and RIPTA today announced the expansion of bus service to the Wickford Junction Transit Center in North Kingstown. Effective Monday, December 7, 2015, this move will provide one-stop consolidated transit services, including rail, bus, and carpooling for commuting and easy access to shopping, sports, and other entertainment activities in Providence and Boston.

RIDOT announced today commuter rail service to the new Wickford Junction Station in North Kingstown will start on April 23rd. The station will be served by 20 trips per weekday to T.F. Green, Providence, and points north. Travel times being 15 minutes to Warwick, 35 minutes to Providence, and under two hours to Boston\’s South Station.
