Workers this morning were working on installing a new sign at Hasbro’s LaSalle Square offices. Apparently the sign which is being installed on the top of the building will light up and spin which of course I think is wicked cool!

3. DRC Application No. 12.39: 170 Washington Street (parking lot) Proposal to paint a large mural on an adjacent brick wall facing Washington Street.
This sign is probably not a new RIDOT standard design, but is helpful nonetheless.

2. DRC Application No. 11.05: 108 Weybosset Street/88 Dorrance Street (Teste Block) Review of construction details for the new infill addition on the Weybosset Street elevation, and review of new storefront details for the Teste Block. (The project received conceptual approval at the DRC meeting on 8/15/11).

New sign at the Biltmore Garage, formerly “The New Parkade.” Photo from In Downcity.
Really like the new signs at the Biltmore Garage on Washington Street. To celebrate the new signs, the garage is giving away free parking passes. Visit In Downcity for more photos and more information about the free parking.
I’m liking the signs on the new TD Bank branch on Dorrance Street. I’m also liking how much glazing there is on the ground floor and how bright it is.
According to their website this branch will be open until 8pm on Thursdays and Fridays, ensuring that it stays brightly lit into the early evening. We’ll see what their overnight lighting is like and how it effects the atmosphere on the street.
