Providence-based Tellart isn’t just one of the pioneers of the “Internet of Things” – they also are weaving the human experience into what would otherwise be a soulless web of networked smart objects. Join us Wednesday for 2011’s second geek dinner – featuring Tellart.
Founded by RISD and Brown graduates in 2000, Tellart is inspired by both the Rhode Island Industrial Revolution and the history of RISD and Brown. With dozens, if not hundreds, of projects under their belts, they have made the web physical in their work with clients, students, and the maker community of Rhode Island (both Rhode Island Mini Maker Faires featured life-sized remakes of games such as PONG and Frogger!).
At Wednesday’s Geek Dinner, Tellart co-Founder Matt Cottam will give an overview of Tellart’s history, show off a project or two, and share their vision, hopes, and dreams for an Internet of Things.
Please RSVP at Facebook – and while you’re there please join our Facebook group. And if you want to join our very-low-volume email announcement send an email to Jack Templin, with your name and affiliation.
