WPRI: Driver charged in fatal crash in Fall River

walkinpvd-iconFall River police are charging a city man after a crash that killed a pedestrian late Friday night.

Police were dispatched to 601 Laurel Street, near the intersection of Laurel and Henry Streets, at about 10 p.m. for a report of a person down in the road.

Officers found a 47 year-old man wedged underneath a white Toyota Corolla, and firefighters used heavy rescue equipment to lift it off him.
