WPRI: Stolen pizza delivery car strikes man in hit and run

walkinpvd-iconAn evening walk turned into a frightening ordeal for a Pawtucket man after he was hit by a stolen pizza delivery car, just a block away from his home.

The accident happened while the man was walking along Newell Street around 5 p.m. Sunday. According to Pawtucket police, the driver hit the man and then took off.

Eyewitness News spoke with the victim’s family who identified him as 61-year-old Joe Korngor. His daughter, Sia Korngor said she was shocked when she heard about the accident.


He was stuck by a person driving a stolen car, the stolen car did not ram itself into him.
