Remember that time last winter when the owners and tenants of 311 Broadway didn’t have enough money, time, or energy to shovel their sidewalks?
I know as I shoveled a foot of snow from my sidewalk week after week my heart ached for them.
Well, good news everyone!
They are expanding their parking lot at 311 Broadway.
So, surely the owners (Wampanoag Investments LLC) and/or tenants must have enough time, energy, and money to clear the snow off their sidewalks this winter. I am ever so excited and cannot wait for those nice clear sidewalks come January!
One could also note, in the first photo, that they apparently had the time, money, and energy to plow their (as yet unexpanded) parking lot last winter.
Name and shame. Love it!
Don’t get your hopes too high: where can they put all the snow from the expanded parking area?
Shove it into the sidewalk, of course.
Time for a parking tax!
(And a dividend to property owners on their property taxes)

This is giving me flashbacks to last winter when Luie Fuller did a really great job of making sure their parking lot was snow free by piling it all on the sidewalk into a snow mountain that all us worthless pedestrians had to walk into Westminister street to get around.
Happy to report, this sidewalk actually was cleared this morning!
