Police say a 12-year-old boy was taken to the hospital Wednesday after being struck by a hit-and-run driver.
The incident happened just after 6:30 p.m. on Bridgham Street, in the area of Lester Street.
Investigators say the child was riding his bike when he was struck by a vehicle described as a silver or gold Nissan Altima.
Police said the man was rushed to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries after he was struck on Hope Furnace Road in Scituate.
Eyewitnesses are calling on the suspect of a hit and run to turn himself in, after a woman was struck and left for dead in the middle of the road.
