The falcons are hatching


The peregrine falcon eggs atop the Superman Building are hatching. It looks like two of the four eggs have hatched so far and they are being fed something now (a rat, a pigeon?).

Scary birds attacking Providence!

Why has no one ever sent me a link to this before?

I think I saw one of these birds eating a pigeon in Burnside Park a few months ago.

The post on YouTube has this to say about this pair:

There are 95 known nesting pairs of peregrine falcons in New England.The nest in Providence has produced 22 nestlings since the female, called Shadow, laid her first clutch of eggs in 2000.
