For those of you who don’t have 47 Facebook friends who have already posted about this, let us tell you that Travel Channel’s Man vs. Food lands in Providence tonight. Well, technically, they landed in Providence a while ago, what they did while they were here is on the television tonight, at 9pm on the Travel Channel.
Adam visits Providence, RI for a unique grilled pizza and for the infamous Triple Murder Burger. Adam’s journey concludes with him coaching a rugby player through 15 fully-loaded hot wieners in 45 minutes.
Judging from the photo gallery on the site, they also paid a visit to Bob & Timmy’s Grilled Pizza on the Hill.
Update: Just got word from the city that there will be a viewing party at Olneyville New York System.
Join Mayor Angel Taveras and Greg Stevens, proprietor of Olneyville New York System, at a viewing of the Travel Channel’s Man v. Food Nation’s Providence episode. The show will air tonight at 9PM; gathering will begin at 8PM at Olneyville New York Systems at 20 Plainfield Street.
Man v. Food Nation came to Providence to visit Olneyville NY System, Haven Brothers, and Bob & Timmy’s. In the episode, host Adam Richman enjoys grilled pizza at Bob & Timmy’s on Federal Hill and goes downtown for Haven Brothers’ infamous Triple Murder Burger, before heading to Olneyville NY System.
Once at the famous Providence wiener restaurant, Richman coaches a Rhode Island Rebellion rugby team player through the Olneyville NY System Hot Weiner Challenge – 15 hot wieners fully loaded with mustard, onions, and meat sauce in 45 minutes.
