WPRI: Pedestrian killed in Seekonk identified as Dorchester man

walkinpvd-iconSeekonk police have identified the pedestrian that was killed in the town last week as Steven Nixon of Dorchester.

No charges are pending against the driver, a 25-year-old man from East Providence, according to police.

Police said the area where the crash occurred is poorly lit, and there are no sidewalks.

In contrast to the last post, there’s no charges here. Because the road is poorly lit and there are no sidewalks? Should maybe the person who designed the road be charged with negligence in the death?

According to Portsmouth Det. Lt. A.J. Bucci, Barbara Krensavage was driving north on Sea Meadow Court just before 3:30 p.m. when her car crossed into the southbound lane and struck a woman walking along the shoulder of the road.

One wonders what was it about this crash that made police decide that charges needed to be brought and that it was not just another, ‘tragic accident.’
