WPRI: Police: Man killed after being hit by car in Warwick

According to Warwick Police Major Rick Rathbun, an 80-year-old man was hit by a car around 8:30 p.m. on Warwick Avenue.

The man was transported to Rhode Island Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Rathbun said the driver, a 38-year-old man from Portsmouth, pulled over and called 911 to alert police. He said the driver remained on scene and was cooperating with police.
