  • I wouldn’t be surprised if Brown considered the reuse of this landmark as an option to consolidate its music department. Performance spaces, auditorium, rehearsal space, department offices, cafe/restaurant, an outdoor amphitheater along the water and adjacent to the proposed park and pedestrian bridge, a direct link between College Hill and the Warren Alpert Medical School…

    This space really ought to have some type of public access/component and what a great way by incorporating these performance spaces here along the park a la Boston Shell Hatch de Providence. I think the city, public and school would benefit tremendously.

  • Love the performance space concept, but Brown is unlikely to move any undergraduate program off the hill. This was the reason they didn’t move engineering – there isn’t enough time in the schedule for students to move between classes.
