Vive La France

There’s so many socio-political things to consider*, but I’ll just leave this video and a couple things here.

One, when I read “Bataclan,” this song by Jeff Buckley is what I thought of, please enjoy.

Two, I’m ever so sad that I had a logo amendment for the site ready to go from the last time Paris was attacked (see the header).

*Three, why was I not compelled to post when Beirut was attacked earlier this week? I’m not wanting the terrorist to win, but if anything good can come out of this all, let us (the West) consider what is happening in the Middle East, and let us pause for a minute to consider how we can address it.

Furthermore… When I was in high school, I was amazingly fortunate to spend three weeks between my Sophomore and Junior years in France. It was such a formative part of my young life to be lucky enough to have that opportunity. Allow me to share a few of the photos (that I have digitized at this minute) from that time in 1990(?) that I had the good fortune to visit this amazing country:

Merci Jef. Those appalled by the terror attack in Paris may want to know about and/or attend the silent vigil tonight (Monday 11/16) at 6pm in Memorial Park next to South Main St. It is being organized by the RI French community to commemorate the victims of that attack.

Thank you, Jef; and, thank you, Barry re: this evening’s silent vigil this evening. Paris and all France has my prayers. In addition, I pray for peace for all of us. #ViveLaFrance #Paris #Peace
