Contrary to what you see in this photo of Washington Street this evening, there is still a Parking Ban in effect in the City of Providence, until further notice.

Update: The Mayor’s office just announced that the parking ban ends at noon today (Monday).

  1. It may help folks to realize the parking ban is still on if they put it on the news and the ticker on the bottom of the screen. Providence is the only city not listed on any of the major local stations, I had to find out via Eastside YMCA update & Mayor Tavares’ page on Facebook, otherwise I wouldn’t have known. Maybe you could use your clout and call the stations and tell them to add PVD?

  2. The parking ban will be lifted at noon today according to the mayor’s facebook page.
