A pedestrian was struck by a car in Providence Friday night.
Witnesses told NBC 10 News that a white cab struck a man in his late 30s or early 40s in the crosswalk on Sabin Street, which is adjacent to the Convention Center, around 7 p.m.

The 31-year-old victim was in a crosswalk on Smith Street and Canal Street when he was struck said Providence Police. Inside the stroller was as 6-month old and a two-year-old.
About a half hour after the crash, the driver, 34-year-old Jessica Skaggs of New Bedford, surrendered to authorities.
Pedestrians should walk to another town where there's a crosswalk, so they at least won't get a citation after they are mowed down.
